TO DEVELOP AND ADMINISTER PROGRAMS WHICH WILL HELP TO IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF LIFE FOR PERSONS OF ALL AGES.  GIVEN THE UNACCEPTABLE LEVEL OF CHILD POVERTY IN CANADA - PARTICULARLY IN MONTREAL - OUR INITIAL FOCUS IS ON CHILDREN.

To enable children to learn, they must be properly nourished.  Every day thousands of children arrive at school hungry because their parents contend with poverty and cannot afford to feed them a proper meal.  Without adequate nutrition, they do not attend classes regularly.  They become aggressive and even violent.   They also contend with the shame of not having enough to eat.Experience has proven that when children are fed healthy meals and snacks, they are more productive in class and achieve better academic results.  Through it's 'hands-on' approach, Generations Foundation provides nutritious breakfast, hot lunch and a snack daily to over 7,700 schoolchildren in 96 schools and learning centers.
 
Generations Foundation has introduced food programs to assist children in becoming more independent and self-sufficient.   They support cooking classes and after-school programs where older students assist younger students with their homework.   The results have been astonishing and the feedback that is received from the professionals makes it clear that Generations Foundation is making a significant difference in the lives of these children.

Generations Foundation receives no government assistance.  A fee is not levied to children or to their parents, rather, it is the generosity of caring individuals who offer Generations Foundation their support.
